Thomas Kopchains

Manager, Special Projects and Training

Mr. Kopchains majored in Economics at Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, VT.  He joined the United States Navy in 1990 and completed six months of Naval Intelligence School before becoming a Navy SEAL assigned to SEAL Team 8 located in Norfolk, VA.  After completing deployments to the Adriatic Sea region and Haiti, Mr. Kopchains spent two years as a Maritime Operations instructor.  In 1997 he used his experience and skills as both a SEAL and as an Intelligence Specialist to open and run TBK Inc. in Boston, MA.  TBK Inc. consisted of former Navy SEALs who specialized in Maritime Operations, Visit Board Search & Seizure and Maritime Security training.  TBK Inc. was instrumental in training UAE SEALs in preparation of the 1998 Gulf Oil Conference. 

In 2000, Mr. Kopchains went on to become Manager of Operations for Hill & Associates in charge of Executive Protection, Military Training and Special Projects.  After September 11, 2001, he traveled to South America, Europe and Asia to develop and conduct evacuations of numerous American and British Companies in unstable regions.

Tom is a commissioned officer (LT) in charge of training at a reserve SEAL Team located in New England.  He is a SEAL certified Diving Supervisor, Over the Horizon Navigation instructor, Maritime Operations Instructor, Visit Board Search & Seizure Instructor, Anti-Terrorism Officer and a Range Safety Officer. He is a member of ASIS, Association of Former Intelligence Officers and the fraternal order of UDT/SEAL.
