Course Description
An Active Shooter Situation is an incident in
which a person, or persons are methodically and systematically killing
or wounding people. If the Shooter(s) are not stopped the body count
will rise. Does your Agency have plan of action? Have you practiced it?
Are you looking for another viewpoint or different tactics? This
intensive two-day course is designed to teach the student an effective
response to an active shooter situation. The Course defines the problem
and puts an historical context to it.
The Course also provides the student with a new
response option to combat this growing deadly trend in law enforcement.
The Student’s equipment and weapons selection, as it pertains to active
shooter situations, will be evaluated and discussed. The student will be
taught team response tactics that are easily learned and adapted. The
Course will culminate in actual responses to Active Shooter situations
where the student will have the ability to test and refine the newly
learned tactics.
