Susan B. Farris, BS
In more than twenty years as a law enforcement professional, Susan has gained a wide range of experience. She served for several years in the Patrol Division of the Austin Police Department in the Texas capital. Susan was also a drug diversion investigator for the State of Texas, planning and conducting hundreds of undercover drug investigations.
In l990, the Law Enforcement Institute of the University of Missouri, Columbia, conferred an Advanced Investigator certification upon Susan. She also holds NRA certifications in Pistol and Personal Protection.
Susan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University. Her career has also benefited from extensive specialized training, ranging from Narcotics Investigation from the Texas Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Academy, to Defensive Handgun at the highly regarded firearms training facility, Thunder Ranch, under Chief Instructor and Director Clint Smith.
Susan has provided expert testimony to the Criminal Justice Committee of the Texas Senate and the Public Safety Committee of the Texas House of Representatives, regarding the use of a firearm in self-defense.
In l979, Susan was commended by the McLennan County Criminal District Attorney for the arrest and conviction of an aggravated robbery suspect.
