- 21 years on Sheriff Department
- 17 years as a Detective
- 12 years assigned to Homicide Bureau, investigated circumstances
surrounding hundreds of murders and suspicious criminal and non-criminal
deaths. Conducted investigations on numerous Officer Involved Shootings.
Assisted in training new investigators entering Homicide Bureau
- 8 months Homicide Bureau-Missing Persons Unit
- 4 years assigned to Family Violence Bureau, investigated over one thousand
cases of sexual and/or physical assaults against minors
- 1 year assigned to Commercial Crimes Bureau – Forgery Fraud Unit
- 3 years Field Operations (patrol)
- 1 year Custody (jail operations)
- Have taught the principles of physical and sexual assault investigation
for Sheriff’s Academy cadets and reserve deputies. Gave lectures at public
meetings regarding the signs and symptoms of physical and sexual assault
on children
- Received numerous commendations for outstanding job performance in the
line of duty
- Currently on staff with the Police Policy Studies Council.
- Active member of the California Homicide Investigators Association
- Recipient of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department Medal of
