MASTER USE OF FORCE INSTRUCTOR™
MUFI Certification Checklist
Students
wishing to attain a "MASTER" instructor rating with the Police Policy Studies
Council must satisfy the following prerequisites:
1 |
Student must
have successfully completed a nationally or internationally
recognized Firearms Instructor program,
OR, the PPSC Firearms Instructor Update program,
or
others that would be individually examined on a case-by-case basis. |
2 |
Student must
have successfully completed either a nationally or
internationally recognized Chemical Munitions Instructor
course, OR, the student must have successfully completed an
internationally recognized Aerosol Subject Restraint Instructor
course,
or others that would be
individually examined on a case-by-case
basis. |
3 |
Student
must have successfully completed either a nationally or internationally recognized "Less-Lethal
Force Instructor" or a Taser™ Instructor program. (For suggestions,

4 |
Student must
have successfully completed a nationally or internationally
recognized "Defensive Tactics Instructor" course, OR the student must successfully complete MOAB™
course, OR the
Strategos International "Physical Conflict Resolution™” course,
OR others that would be
individually examined. |
5 |
Student
must have completed the PPSC
Use of Force Management™
course. |
6 |
Student must have
successfully completed at least one of the following
courses through an internationally recognized training institution: |

Adverse Light Training Instructor |
|
Officer Survival Seminar |
|
Patrol Rifle Instructor |
|
Deadly Force Management™
|
|
Scenario-Based Training Instructor |
|
Shotgun Instructor |
IMPORTANT NOTE
Students
completing the PPSC
Use of Force Management™
course BEFORE they have met the other criteria
MUST complete the remaining criteria within two years of their completion of the AFCI course if they wish the "Master" certification.
