The PPSC Low Light Threat
Interdiction™ Instructor Course is a
specialized course for law enforcement focused on firearms and technology
for border interdiction, high risk law enforcement patrolling, and rural
operations. This course was developed by PPSC cadre to meet the continuing
and growing need for training that is a fusion of technology, tactics, and
techniques for law enforcement personnel working in low light within the
following realms:
Customs
and border protection
Counter-drug / narcotics enforcement / drug task force
Law
enforcement personnel with rural area responsibilities
Military
personnel assigned counter-drug/JTF operations
Any law
enforcement, military, or USG personnel having an interest in low light
survival and techniques
Attendees can expect to conduct a combination of live fire, hands-on, and
tutorial exercises to make them knowledgeable and capable of all manner of
observation/surveillance and officer survival/deadly force use in low light
conditions. This course “picks up” where most “low light” courses leave off.
It will address all manner of technology and operational needs. Considering
the prevalence of criminal and terrorist activity that occurs in lower light
conditions, and the high risk to officers in this environment, this course
serves to advance the skills and knowledge of the attendees so that they may
return to their agencies with information on how to have what can be a
decisive edge, vs. disadvantage, in low light.
Custom Course Variations: The course
content and support can be tailored to the needs of an individual agency or
group of agencies with parallel missions.

nondisclosure agreement. Courses for USG personnel will be conducted as an
Unclassified/FOUO course with additional material included.
