DETECTIVE SHOT AND INJURED
On October 10, 1991,
at approximately 1530 hours, on
duty Detective Charles Jardines, assigned to the Joint Bank Robbery Task Force,
was chasing a suspect of a past bank robbery.
The suspect, who was armed
with a Glock 9mm semiauto pistol and a Glock .45
semiauto pistol, turned and fired several shots at the detective, hitting
him in lower abdomen, right thigh and right calf.
Det. Jardines returned fire
5 X with his Glock 19, hitting perp 2 X in leg and buttocks. Undetermined distance, no sights used. The perpetrator's Glock .45 pistol jammed.

SHOOTING - PERPETRATOR SHOT AND INJURED
On December 10, 1991,
at approximately 2010 hours, on
duty Sergeant David Crowe of Queens T.N.T.,
was advised by a complainant
that a robbery
in progress was occurring at
Roy Rogers Restaurant. At location, perpetrator pointed a gun at the
sergeant and the sergeant
fired 3 X
with his Glock 19,
hitting and injuring perp 3 X. Distance
4 - 6 feet, no sights used.
INCIDENT #7
INTENTIONAL SHOOTING - GUNFIGHT
On December 28, 1991,
at approximately 0325 hours, on
duty Police Officer Eriberto Torres, sergeants operator, responded to a radio
run of shots fired. At
location, above officer and
serveral other N.O.S. observed two
males on staircase. P.O.
Torres ordered perps
to freeze. One perp pointed
a gun at M.O.S. and fired lxO. P.O. Torres
fired 1
X 0 with his Glock
19, perp dropped weapon and
was arrested. Other perp ran to
roof with Officer Torres in pursuit.
On roof, P.O. Torres was fired at by several males. P.O. Torres
fired 4 X with his
Glock 19 and arrested one other
perp. Two perps
escaped. Officer fired
at a distance of 7 - 10 feet, no
sights used.
